BIFFA AWARD GRANT SUPPORTS SLITTING MILL VICTORY HALL
RENOVATION

Slitting Mill Victory Hall are excited to announce that we have been awarded a Biffa Award grant to commence our ‘Repair and Renew’ renovations. Supporting the renovation, Biffa Award a multi-million-pound fund helping to build and transform lives through awarding grants to communities and environmental projects across England and Northern Ireland, as part of the Governments Landfill Communities Fund.
With help from the Biffa Award grant, we will be generating a new look to the historic building, renewing and repairing from top to bottom. Essential roof repairs, renewed kitchen facilities, and new ceilings, lighting, and flooring throughout.

We hope to be completed by mid-February 2026. Opened in 1953, Slitting Mill Victory Hall is situated on the verge of Cannock Chase. In 2024, a new lease of life was injected into the hall with 5 new Trustees, social committee, and volunteers, all ready to bring the hall back into the community.
We are committed to continuing our relationship with our incredible hirers and welcome the prospect of encouraging more, once our renovations are completed. We would like to express immense gratitude for the ongoing support from Biffa Award, our hirers, the new trustees, social committee, and volunteer residents. On behalf of everyone involved within the hall, we hope you are excited about our upcoming plans. We hope you share our passion for continuing the legacy of the hall and keeping it open for all to enjoy, for our current community as well as our
future generations.
